Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 meters)

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be picked up by our representative and transferred to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure, or explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu.

Day 2:
Kathmandu Sightseeing (1,400 meters)

You’ll spend the day exploring the ancient temples and cultural landmarks of Kathmandu, including the Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath Stupa.

Day 3:
Drive to Kyirong (2,890 meters)

After breakfast, you’ll drive from Kathmandu to Kyirong, crossing the Nepal-Tibet border at Rasuwagadhi. You’ll spend the night in a hotel in Kyirong.

Day 4:
Acclimatization Day in Kyirong (2,890 meters)

You’ll spend day 4 acclimatizing to the high altitude and exploring the local area around Kyirong. You can visit the Kyirong Monastery, which is located on a hill overlooking the town, or take a short hike to a nearby waterfall.

Day 5:
Drive to Saga (4,600 meters)

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Saga, a small town located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River. You’ll cross several high passes, including Lalung La and Nyalam Pass, offering stunning views of the Himalayan range. You’ll spend the night in a guesthouse in Saga.

Day 6:
Drive to Lake Mansarovar (4,560 meters)

On day 6, you’ll drive to Lake Mansarovar, one of the holiest lakes in Tibet. You’ll pass through several small towns and villages along the way, and you’ll have the opportunity to see local nomads grazing their herds of yaks and sheep. You’ll spend the night in a guesthouse near the lake.

Day 7:
Mansarovar Parikrama and Drive to Darchen (4,600 meters)

You’ll spend day 7 doing the Mansarovar parikrama (circumambulation) of the lake, which is considered to be a holy ritual. After completing the parikrama, you’ll drive to Darchen, the starting point of your Kailash kora. You’ll spend the night in a guesthouse in Darchen.

Day 8:
Drive to Yamdwar and Trek to Dirapuk (4,880 meters)

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Yamdwar, the starting point of the Kailash trek. From here, you’ll begin your trek to Dirapuk, a distance of around 12 kilometers. The trek is a gradual ascent and takes around 5-6 hours to complete. You’ll spend the night in a guesthouse in Dirapuk.

Day 9:
Trek to Zutul-puk (4,670 meters)

On day 9, you’ll continue your trek form Kailash to Zutul-puk, a distance of around 22 kilometers. The trek is a challenging one, as you’ll be crossing the Dolma La Pass, which is located at an altitude of 5,630 meters. You’ll pass by Gauri Kund, a sacred water body, and reach Zutul-puk, where you’ll spend the night in a guesthouse.

Day 10:
Trek back to Darchen (4,600 meters) and Drive to Saga

After breakfast, you’ll trek back to Darchen, a distance of around 14 kilometers. From here, you’ll drive to Saga, where you’ll spend the night in a guesthouse.

Day 11:
Drive to Kyirong (2,890 meters)

On day 11, you’ll drive back to Kyirong, crossing the high passes of Lalung La and Nyalam Pass. You’ll pass through small towns and villages, offering stunning views of the Himalayan range. You’ll spend the night in a hotel in Kyirong.

Day 12:
Kyirong to Kathmandu (1,400 meters)

After breakfast, you’ll drive back to Kathmandu, crossing the Nepal-Tibet border at Rasuwagadhi. After completing the immigration formalities, you’ll continue your drive to Kathmandu, where you’ll spend the night in a hotel.

Day 13:
Departure

On the last day of your tour, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. You can spend some time exploring Kathmandu or doing some last-minute shopping before your flight.
