Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the easier long treks in Nepal but does demands high fitness, walking experience and proper acclimatization. We will enjoy the fascinating ethnic group with their own language and tradition. The views are incredible: 8,000m+ peaks including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri rages and numerous 7,000m+ and 6,000m+ peaks. We get opportunity to enjoy the natural diversity from lush, tropical rice paddies and moss-laden rhododendron forests to alpine and snow-covered landscapes. The pre-Buddhist Bon-Po region still con-exist where one girl is married to all the brothers in the family.
Annapurna Circuit Trail follows an anti-clockwise route behind the Annapurna massif. Lowland Hindu communities gradually gives way to Tibetan group and architecture changes accordingly. Notable landmarks we visit includes: the Upper Pisang to Braga route which displays the fascinating architecture and great views of Annapurna II & IV. The crossing of Thorong La Pass at 5,416m is the major objective of the trek.
We walk through the deepest Gorge “Kali Gandaki” with Annapurna I rising to 8,091m to the east and Dhaulagiri towering at 8,167m to the west. We also enjoy the outstanding mountain views from Poon Hill and explore the Annapurna region. Annapurna Circuit Trek also offers an opportunity to explore Manang, Jomsom and the Muktinath region which helps us to get the in-depth knowledge of local culture and tradition.
When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Himalayan 360 will be there to meet you and take you to your hotel. After checking in, you can rest or, with the guide, visit Himalayan 360’s office in Thamel a part of Kathmandu in the tourist district. Here there are many shops and restaurants. The shops are colourful and full of pashminas, slippers, trekking equipment, and felt items. The restaurants serve European as well as Nepalese meals. ATMs are plentiful should you require them. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by Himalayan 360 where you will be served authentic Nepalese cuisine. This is a great introduction to Nepalese food.
