The hike to the viewpoint takes about 1.5 hours, but it is well worth the effort, as it offers a stunning panoramic view of the monastery, which clings to the side of a sheer vertical cliff. Take a moment to catch your breath and enjoy the breathtaking scenery before continuing on to the monastery.

The principal Lhakhang, or monastery, dates back to 1692, but the complex has been damaged and restored over the years. After exploring the monastery and learning about its fascinating history, begin your descent back down the mountain.

The hike down will take about 2-3 hours, and you will be treated to even more stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Once you reach the base of the mountain, drive back to Paro for some city sightseeing.
