Spiritual Significance of Nepal in Buddhism

Buddhism is one of the world’s major religions. Whenever a person thinks about peace and spirituality, regardless of origin, they often first think of Buddhism. Buddhism’s significance has deeper roots, dating back to the time of Lord Buddha. Sidhartha Gautam was the prince of Lumbini, born to Queen Mayadevi. Believers say that he walked seven steps as soon as he was born. And, his birthplace, along with the pond where his brother bathed, is intact in Lumbini several centuries later. Also, he believed in non-violence and inner spirituality and subtly emphasized the importance of simple, spiritual living and meditation.

The religious significance of the place has increased the spiritual significance as well. Buddhism inspires people to cultivate a sense of goodness within themselves and see the good in others. The emphasis on the importance of meditation and yoga makes the religion all the more spiritually beneficial. If you want to heal yourself, visiting a Buddhist site near you would be beneficial. Even better if you go on our specially picked 5-day Buddhist pilgrimage tour!

Are vegetarian and Satvik meals available along the Pilgrimage Tour?

Yes, vegetarian and Satvik meals are available along the 5 day Buddhist pilgrimage tour in Nepal. It is primarily because of the importance Buddhism places on not killing a living being for one’s taste or pleasure. Furthermore, you can request that your tour operator arrange a special vegetarian and Satvik meal schedule. You can be assured that at each location, you will stop for different meals of the day and find something good to eat without worrying about being non-vegetarian.

Though the Satvik meal is a concept from Hinduism, you can find it important in Buddhism as well. You will not have a hard time finding a good place to eat clean and healthy on this journey. There are also restaurants that offer vegetarian meals without garlic, onions, and spices,  which may benefit your health as well as the motive of your trip. Home-cooked meals that monks eat usually align with the Satvik principles of making food. You can enjoy such food in this spiritual retreat at your guest house itself.

Why choose the 5-day Pilgrimage Tour?

You can choose the 5-day pilgrimage tour to gain insight into Buddhism as a religion and a means to find peace amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life. Even though temporarily, you will be able to explore a world apart from the one you’re living in, in the best possible way. The Buddha’s footprints have truly moved and influenced the world most positively. You will have the opportunity to experience just that on this very tour.

If you’re looking to find yourself, this tour will provide insight into how to do just that. When you see and interact with the monks on this journey, you might be able to connect with them. Additionally, the 5-day pilgrimage tour is not physically exhausting for the travelers. You can visit each location and enjoy each slow moment with your friends and family. Another best part about this tour is that it suits all age groups.

Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour: an insight into the life of lord Buddha and his Teachings

The Buddhist Pilgrimage tour is meant to give you an insight into the life of Lord Buddha and his teachings. Unlike most other tours, even within the Kathmandu Valley or in Nepal, you won’t only be exploring the major sites within the country through sightseeing, you will be learning as you explore. The teachings of Buddha can be seen through the artworks in the monasteries, the way of life of the people and monks who follow Buddhism, and the landmarks that the life of Lord Buddha has impacted.

Over the years, there have been many people, from all around the world, who have followed the pathways of Lord Buddha and experienced nothing but bliss in their lives. The pathway towards non-violence, peace, realization about the truth of life, simplicity, etc., further led to Buddha’s enlightenment. Visiting the Buddhist pilgrimage sites will help you discover how you can eventually be led towards Moksha and even attain Nirvana. If you’re not all about that spiritual living, you can still get helpful insights for a better, simpler life through this Buddhist pilgrimage tour.
