When you arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from Himalayan 360 will be there to greet you and take you to your hotel. After checking in, you can either rest or, with the guide, visit Himalayan 360’s office located in Thamel, a bustling tourist destination in Kathmandu. Thamel offers many shops and restaurants, where you can find colorful pashminas, slippers, trekking equipment, and felt items. The restaurants in Thamel serve European, Chinese and Nepalese meals. There are also many ATMs available in case you need them. In the evening, Himalayan 360 will host a welcome dinner for you, where you will be served authentic Nepalese cuisine, giving you a great introduction to Nepalese food.

We will depart at 06:00 hours from Thamel. It will take approximately 05 hours to drive to Kodari, which is the China/Nepal border. After a short drive of half an hour, we will reach Zhangmu. Here, we will complete the immigration formalities and then continue our drive to Nyalam, following the Bhotekoshi River through a deep valley with some beautiful waterfalls. We will spend the night at a guesthouse in Nyalam.

In the afternoon, we will continue to Gyantse, a small bustling town rich in history, located 264km southwest of Lhasa on the northern bank of Nyang chu river. We will also visit the Kumbum Chorten, which was built around 1400 AD. We will spend the night at a guesthouse.

Today, we will embark on an 8-hour drive to Lhasa, crossing the Karo La Pass and climbing between two majestic mountains, Nozing Khang Sa (7223m) and Ralung (6236m). After passing Kamb La, the Lhasa valley will come into view to the north. We will also cross the Brahmaputra River.

Today is the last day of our trip. It’s time to say goodbye and return to the real world. A representative from Himalayan 360 will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the airport 3 hours before your flight.
