No, you cannot travel solo. While Nepal is relatively open, both Tibet and Bhutan strictly prohibit independent travel. You must be part of a pre-arranged tour with a licensed guide and registered agency.
Do I need three separate visas?
Yes, you need three different visas. Nepal offers a Visa on Arrival (USD 30–50). Bhutan requires a pre-approved e-Visa (USD 40) handled by your tour operator. Tibet needs a Tibet Travel Permit and, if entering from Nepal, a Group Tourist Visa issued in Kathmandu.
Are there direct flights between Tibet and Bhutan?
