It includes 8 nights in 3-star hotels with breakfast.

How much does a Nepal tour package cost?

A Nepal tour package with us costs USD 333 to USD 660 per person for two travellers, for 5 to 9 days. A solo traveller pays USD 600 to USD 1,215, and each person in a group of 10 or more pays USD 197 to USD 440.

Price per person for two travellers on each package, from our trip pages (2026).

The price is set per person by group size. The private vehicle and guide are shared by the whole group, so each traveller pays less as the group grows:

The 7 Days Nepal Tour Package costs USD 962 alone and USD 382 each for 11 or more.

The largest step is from one traveller to two. On the Muktinath Jeep Tour a solo traveller pays USD 1,005 and each of two pays USD 651, and a third person brings it to USD 433. Your full Nepal trip cost also includes your international flight, the Nepal visa fee, meals the itinerary does not list, and a single room if you want one, since the single supplement is charged on top on every package.

What is included in your Nepal tour package?

Every one of the six packages includes 3-star hotel nights, a private vehicle, an English-speaking guide, entrance fees at the sites on the itinerary, all internal taxes and 1 bottle of water per day. The rest depends on the trip:

  • Hotel nights: 4 on the 5-day tour, 5 on the 6-day tour and on the 5-day Buddhist tour, 6 on the two 7-day tours, 8 on the 9-day Buddhist tour.
  • Meals: breakfast on five packages, and breakfast, lunch and dinner on the 7-day tour with Chitwan.
  • Transport: a private vehicle sized to your group for every drive on the itinerary, and a jeep on the Muktinath Jeep Tour.
  • Permits: the ACAP permit on the Muktinath Jeep Tour, whose road to Muktinath runs through the Annapurna Conservation Area.

No package includes international airfare, the Nepal visa fee, drinks, meals the itinerary does not list, extra hotel nights, a single room or personal expenses.

Which Nepal itinerary fits 5, 7 or 9 days?

Five days covers Kathmandu and Pokhara, seven days adds Chitwan National Park or Muktinath, and nine days adds Lumbini. Kathmandu, Pokhara, Nagarkot, Chitwan, Muktinath and Lumbini are the stops these packages cover, and each extra day adds one of them:

  • 5 days, the two cities: the 5 Days Nepal Tour, or the 5-day Buddhist tour if Lumbini matters more than Pokhara.
  • 6 days, add a sunrise over the Himalayas: the 6-day tour, with a night at Nagarkot.
  • 7 days, add wildlife or a Hindu temple at altitude: the 7-day tour for the Chitwan safari, or the Muktinath Jeep Tour for Muktinath at 3,762 m.
  • 9 days, add the sites of Buddhism: the Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour, with Lumbini and Pokhara.

A Pokhara tour package inside every longer itinerary

Pokhara is on 5 of the 6 packages, so you do not need a separate Pokhara tour package. Sarangkot, the viewpoint above Pokhara facing the Annapurna range, is on the 5, 6, 7 and 9-day tours, and the 7-day tour adds boating on Phewa Lake with Machhapuchhre reflected in the water.

Adding Bhutan or Tibet to a Nepal holiday package

A Nepal holiday package can run into a second country. Our Bhutan Tour Packages are separate packages you can book after a Nepal tour, and our Nepal Tibet Bhutan Tours join all three countries in one itinerary. If you also want to trek in Nepal, the Everest Base Camp Trek and our other treks are grouped on Nepal Trekking Tours.

What are the best places to visit in Nepal on a tour?

Our Nepal tours are built around seven places: Kathmandu, Pokhara, Nagarkot, Chitwan, Lumbini, Namobuddha and Muktinath. The table gives each one's altitude, the things to do in Nepal there, and the trips that stop there.

The Lumbini Tour Nepal is the quickest of our tours to the birthplace of the Buddha: its USD 440 each for two includes both domestic flights and 2 nights in a 3-star hotel in Lumbini.

Which Kathmandu day tours can you add to a Nepal tour?

Seven Kathmandu Valley day tours cost USD 35 to USD 118 per person for two, and each takes one day or less, so it fits a spare day before or after a package. The Everest Mountain Flight also leaves from Kathmandu and takes about an hour.

Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO site since 1984, is known for its one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, crocodiles and birds.

Chitwan and Lumbini lie in the Terai, the southern lowland region of Nepal. Book the Chitwan Jungle Safari with the 5 or 6-day tours; the 7 Days Nepal Tour Package already includes Chitwan. For photographers and birders, three longer wildlife tours cover more of Nepal's national parks:

What is the best time to visit Nepal for a tour?

The best months for a Nepal tour are March to May and September to December, the months our package trip pages list as best season. June to August is the monsoon, and none of the six packages lists it.

Three exceptions sit inside that window. The 6 days Nepal tour package lists September to November, without December. The Lumbini Tour Nepal lists March, April, May and September. The Kathmandu Valley day tours run in every season.

Do you need a visa for Nepal?

Yes, unless you hold an Indian passport. Most visitors who travel to Nepal get a tourist visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, or apply online before travel. The fee is USD 30 for 15 days, USD 50 for 30 days and USD 125 for 90 days, and you need a passport valid for at least 6 months and a passport photo.

A 5 to 9-day Nepal tour package fits the 15-day visa, with room to add Chitwan or a day tour. Nepal tour packages from India need no visa at all, because travel between India and Nepal is visa-free for Indian citizens. Our package prices are in USD.

Can you customise a Nepal tour itinerary?

Yes. Each package runs in a private vehicle for your group only, so we can move the dates, add nights or join two trips, for example the 5 Days Nepal Tour with the Chitwan Jungle Safari. Send your dates, group size and the places you want to see through the Trip Planner, and we reply with an itinerary and a price.

Booking and cancellation

A booking needs an advance payment of at least 30% of the trip price by bank transfer, and you pay the balance in Kathmandu on arrival, before the tour starts. Cancelling 30 days before the start costs 40% of the trip price, 15 days before costs 50% and 7 days before costs 80%, and nothing is refunded once the trip has left Kathmandu. The full rules are on our Terms and Conditions page.

A wellness retreat in Nepal instead of sightseeing

For a slower trip, the Wellness Retreat in Nepal spends 5 days at Dwarika's Resort in Dhulikhel and Dwarika's Hotel in Kathmandu, with yoga, massage and Shirodhara therapy, breakfast and dinner. Its price is on request.

Who runs your Nepal tour on the ground?

We do. Himalayan 360 runs every package on this page from our office on Galkopakha Marg in Kathmandu, with local guides who speak English, and Chinese on four of the six packages. Our company registration certificates are on the Legal Documents page.

Commonly Asked Questions for Nepal Tour Packages

How many days do you need for a Nepal tour?

Five days covers Kathmandu and Pokhara, and 7 to 9 days adds Chitwan National Park, Muktinath or Lumbini. Our six Nepal tour packages run 5 to 9 days. The shortest, the 5 Days Nepal Tour, costs USD 333 per person for two.

Do Nepal tour packages include flights?

No. We do not sell Nepal tour packages with flights from your home country, so international airfare is always extra. The Lumbini Tour Nepal includes return domestic flights between Kathmandu and Bhairahawa, the 6 days Nepal tour package offers a domestic flight as an option, and the Muktinath Heli Tour is a chartered helicopter from Kathmandu. Every other leg is by private vehicle or jeep.

Is food included in the Nepal tour package price?

Breakfast is included on five of the six packages. The 7 Days Nepal Tour Package and the Chitwan Jungle Safari include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks, and meals not listed in the itinerary, are paid locally.

Can a solo traveller book a Nepal tour package?

Yes. Every package has a price for one person: USD 600 on the 5 Days Nepal Tour, USD 962 on the 7 Days Nepal Tour Package and USD 1,215 on the 9-day Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour. The price per person drops as soon as a second traveller joins.

Do Indians need a visa for a Nepal tour package?

No. Indian citizens do not need a visa to enter Nepal. Every other nationality needs one, and most visitors get it on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Our package prices are in USD for every nationality.

Is Nepal safe to visit on a tour?

Read your own government's advice before you book: the US State Department, the UK Foreign Office and Australia's Smartraveller each keep a current Nepal travel advisory. On our packages a private vehicle and an English-speaking guide are with you on every touring day, and every trip starts and ends in Kathmandu.

Are these Nepal tours private or group tours?

Transport and guiding are private: each package uses a private vehicle sized to your group, with an English-speaking guide. The jungle activities inside Chitwan National Park are the exception, and run on a group-join basis.

How do you reach Nepal for a tour package?

Fly into Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Every package starts and ends in Kathmandu, so one return ticket to Kathmandu covers the whole tour.

Which Nepal tour package suits a family?

The 5 Days Nepal Tour and the 7 Days Nepal Tour Package both suit families. The 7-day tour is graded easy and suitable for everyone, including children and older people, and the 5-day tour involves light walking and optional short hikes. In Chitwan, children and adults can join the jeep safari, canoe trips and cultural programmes.

Is travel insurance recommended for a Nepal tour?

Yes. Insurance covers medical emergencies, flight cancellations and lost belongings, and on the Chitwan Jungle Safari the jungle walks, canoe trips and jeep rides carry some risk of injury. No package price includes travel insurance.

What happens if I cancel a Nepal tour package?

Our terms charge 40% of the trip price for a cancellation 30 days before the start date, 50% at 15 days and 80% at 7 days. Nothing is refunded once the trip has left Kathmandu, and permits already bought are not refundable.

Can I combine a Nepal tour with Bhutan or Tibet?

Yes. Our Nepal Tibet Bhutan Tours join the countries in one itinerary, and our Bhutan Tours run as separate packages you can book after a Nepal tour.
